A serial killer is at work in Spokane
SPOKANE, January 6 - A serial killer is at work in Spokane.
That word Tuesday from a joint task force investigating a series of unsolved murders dating back to 1984.
“The investigators with the homicide task force have concluded with extreme likelihood that four unsolved homicides are attributed to the same person or persons,” according to task force spokesman Captain Doug Silver.
Those four cases include the murders of Shawn Johnson, Darla Sue Scott, Laurie Wason and Shawn McClenahan.
All four victims were shot - and all were found dumped along roadsides in rural areas of the county. Police say the women were known to frequent areas with high rates of prostitution and drug use.
In all, investigators are looking into twelve unsolved killings since 1990. Not all of those deaths are related to a single killer claim authorities.
Police will not announce publicly whether they have a suspect.
